Book Launch Ceremony of Renowned Travelogue Writer Hasnain Nazish’s New Book “So Din America Main”

Rawalpindi: A distinguished book launch ceremony for the latest travelogue, “So Din America Main” by eminent author and literary figure Hasnain Nazish was held at the Punjab Arts Council, Rawalpindi. The event was jointly organized by the literary organization “Qalam Qafila Pakistan” and the “Punjab Arts Council, Rawalpindi.” A large number of literary personalities, intellectuals, and book lovers attended the ceremony.

The prestigious event was presided over by renowned scholar and intellectual Dr. Maqsood Jafri. The chief guests were Dr. Nisar Turabi and Dr. Abdul Hameed Khan Abbasi. Guests of honor included Hameed Qaiser, Agha Qaiser Abbas, and Farakhanda Shameem, while the author’s close friend Nazim Ghauri shared his views on both the book and its author. The proceedings were conducted by noted scholar, poet, and columnist Nayyar Sarhadi.

The speakers paid rich tribute to Hasnain Nazish’s literary contributions, stating that “So Din America Main” is not merely an account of a journey but a profound cultural and social observation of American society.

In his presidential address, Dr. Maqsood Jafri praised the author’s keen eye for detail. He emphasized that an excellent travelogue helps bridge cultural divides, and that Nazish has skillfully documented American lifestyles, governance, and diversity while maintaining his Eastern perspective.

Chief Guest Dr. Nisar Turabi commended the book’s style and concluded that, among contemporary travelogues about America, this work stands out due to the uniqueness of the author’s narrative approach.

He further noted that the land of Murree has produced two notable Urdu travel writers who gained recognition through their travelogues. One is Qamar Ali Abbasi, who has published nearly thirty travelogues, and the other is Hasnain Nazish, whose number of travelogues is approaching a dozen.

Farakhanda Shameem, Professor Dr. Abdul Hameed Khan Abbasi, Hameed Qaiser, Agha Qaiser Abbas, and Nayyar Sarhadi also shared their thoughts on the book. They highlighted that Nazish’s writing style is engaging, fluent, and intellectually stimulating, making readers feel as though they are traveling alongside the author.

Representatives of Qalam Qafila Pakistan and the Punjab Arts Council reaffirmed their commitment to providing a continuous platform for local writers and intellectuals. They observed that literature plays a vital role in the intellectual development of society and in promoting international harmony.

Writing a travelogue requires a unique blend of curiosity and honesty. Hasnain Nazish has once again demonstrated that he possesses both qualities in abundance.
